Bucs HS Baseball Program

Welcome to the Bucs HS Baseball page. The Bucs HS out-of-season program runs in the fall, winter, and summer seasons and is not affiliated with CIF sports. Relevant announcements and other information will be posted here throughout the seasons.

*Bucs HS Players please make sure you are prepared daily with ALL of your gear, including:

 

  • ALL personal gear (catcher's gear included)

  • team practice attire

  • resistance bands

  • wrist weights

  • plyo balls

  • athletic/tennis shoes (sorry no Crocs or slides) for the blacktop

  • water bottle - water fill-up coolers will be available daily.

Bucs AAU Winter Baseball Tryouts

Tuesday, October 2 & Thursday October 4

MBHS Varsity Field during 8th period athletics class

All field days consist of:

Dynamic Warm Up, Resistance Bands, Wrist Weights, Plyo Ball, Throwing Program, and Recovery Routines to be performed throughout the 2023-2024 season.

Week of September 18, 2023

Monday & Wednesday: Weight room intro with Coach Anderson @ 2:40p (Upper classmen ONLY)

Friday: Weight room ALL players following lunch. Meet at weight room and be ready by 2:05p. NO FIELD/CAGE WORK

Week of September 11, 2023

Objectives: Introduce Hitting Indies (Overload training - Offset rotation, depth ladder, jump backs)

Week of September 4, 2023

Objectives: Dynamic Warm Up, Resistance Band, Wrist Weight, Plyo Ball, Throwing Program, and Recovery Routines to be performed throughout the 2023-2024 season.

Week of August 28, 2023

B days -  8/28 & 8/30 & 9/1

Objectives for players who participated in end-of-summer workouts: Stage 2 of plyo ball, wrist weight, and throwing program

Objectives for players that did not participate in end-of-summer workouts: Learn Dynamic Warm Up, Resistance Band, Wrist Weight, Plyo Ball, Throwing Program, and Recovery Routines to be performed throughout the 2023-2024 season.

August 21-25, 2023

First Week of School MBHS

B days -  8/22 & 8/24 - Meet with athletics teacher and available players report to baseball field

August 1 - August 17, 2023

End of Summer Workouts
